It’s only taken Jordan Brand 36 years, but the lustrous accents on these AJ1s actually hark back to one of the iconic model’s earliest colourways, one that was perhaps long-forgotten because it’s not in Chicago Bulls livery. But with the intense focus on pulling out every last morsel of OG 1985 makeups, and the fact just about everyone wants a pair of AJ1s these days, the ‘Metallic Purple’ should be much less underrated in 2021.
